Year One Recap

Our first full year of The Kindness Campaign has wrapped up and we loved getting to share kindness to students in 50 schools! From our humble beginnings in 2015 and launching our program in 5 schools for the pilot year, we can’t believe how quickly we’ve grown! The need to teach empathy and kindness is more important than ever and we hope to reach more students every year. It is so important to inspire kindness in children so they become kind leaders of the future.

We are so proud of the program and events in year one! We partnered with Univision to throw our first KINDNESSPALOOZA event! This event was a party of kindness with amazing performers such as: The Mrs, and Maddison Mcwilliams. The event was such a success that we decided to have three more at  Austin area schools: St. Gabriel’s Catholic School, Sadler Means Young Women’s Leadership Academy, and Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders!

In year one we also wanted to make a statement of kindness in the Austin community, a fashion statement that is! Enoughie, our magical mascot, walked the runway during Fashion X’s Austin fashion week show! You can watch him strut his stuff here!

Our first year was also one of building partnerships with companies that share our message kindness. One of these kind companies we had the opportunity to partner with this year was, Kendra Scott. Kendra showed her kind nature by donating a piece of jewelry to all the hard working teachers who participated in The Kindness Campaign this year! Her kindness didn’t stop there! She hosted a beautiful Kendra Scott Gives back event at the company’s headquarters in Austin, TX encouraging all the attendees to donate to TKC! Kendra also took the time to share her personal story of bullying and encouraged everyone to face bullies and adversity with kindness!

We are so thankful for such a kind and successful first year! Now we are diving headfirst into year 2 and we can’t wait to continue to inspire kindness everywhere we go!
