To our Kind Community,
Thank you so much for your interest in supporting TKC’s 2022 Art of Kindness (AOK)!
As Co-Chairs for this extraordinary event, we wanted to take a moment to share why this cause is personal for us — and hopefully, why it’s meaningful to you, too.
A shocking but true fact: suicide is the second leading cause of death for teenagers. This is the impetus behind The Kindness Campaign (TKC), an organization that has worked tirelessly since 2015 to prevent those outcomes, by making mental and emotional health resources more accessible to all.
When we were growing up, social emotional learning wasn’t much of a focus in school. But it’s clear that our children need this support today more than ever: from technology to a global pandemic, kids face new, debilitating stressors from every direction. And that’s precisely why we are so grateful for this organization.
This is a team that knows that trauma is not destiny. In fact, the brain is capable of growing, healing, and forming new connections over a lifetime, and TKC is right there, helping children – and adults – grow into their full potential. Thank goodness for TKC, especially in the wake of COVID: they are looking forward, creating actionable tools to foster a healthy, hopeful future.
Right now, you have an opportunity to sponsor Art of Kindness 2022, designed to honor our circle of supporters with a special VIP event, as well as our larger community with a family-friendly day of activations, art, music, food, and much more!
Thank you so much for taking a moment to learn more about The Kindness Campaign, and the preventative work they do, every day, to save lives.

The Kindness Campaign started in just one school district, and has grown exponentially over the past six years.
Since its founding in 2015, TKC has served over 187,000 children and adults with in-depth, hands-on curriculum and programming. But through partnerships with our Kind Companies and nationwide organizations, such as AMC Theatres, Nordstrom, Bumble, Girl Scouts of America, and SXSW, thousands more have been impacted by TKC across the country. Our signature activation, Enoughie’s Magic Mirror™, has even traveled the nation: from Top of the Rock in NYC, to Mall of America, to Lady Gaga concerts right here in Austin.
We are also proud to work with private and parochial schools as a trusted SEL provider, and in 2021 alone, TKC raised enough funds to gift 60 Texas elementary schools with Kind Kits: full-year SEL curriculum, impacting over 35,000 children in the 2021-22 school year. The majority of our recipients were Title 1 schools.
Our vision is ambitious, and always has been. But with your help, we will be able to extend that reach to over 100,000 for the school year of 2022-23!
In 2020-21 TKC turned its focus to access and innovation, by virtualizing and updating our programs. We Zoom-ified our Enoughie Buddy™ dance parties, we updated our curriculum content to address social issues, and we put plans in place to diversify our offerings. We also launched the Kind Mural on Amy’s Ice Creams – South Congress! It stands there today as an inspiring rendering of Austin’s kindness, and a living driver of support: it was the Kind Mural that funded our curriculum to 60 schools.
With our innovative curriculum and products like KindHouse™, KindMusic™, and KindGym™, we continue to make emotional health accessible, through art, interactive games, and microlearning. Thank you for being a part of our journey, and we invite you to be part of our future!
The Kindness Campaign (TKC) is a 501(c)(3) organization, EIN 81-2144973. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Kindness Campaign is committed to fulfill its mission while prioritizing the health and well-being of our donors and attendees. The Art of Kindness 2022 currently intends to proceed with all events scheduled on April 1-2, 2022. Should event cancellation occur for the safety of all guests (including inclement weather), no refunds will be issued for the good of the cause!
If any modifications to our event plans/attendance sizes, etc. become required for attendee safety, then we will update our plans accordingly and notify our sponsors and attendees. Note that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19, and all communicable diseases, exists in any public place. By attending any TKC event, you voluntarily assume all risks related to such possibility. Please visit cdc.gov for the most current guidelines and health recommendations.
