Haley Betron: Spotlight of the Month

Meet our spotlight of the month, Haley Betron, a student at Westwood High School in Austin, Texas. Haley has been playing guitar and singing for over nine years, using her talents as a singer/songwriter to spread kindness. Haley’s songs teach essential messages such as loving and being true to oneself.

Haley’s work is in sync with our theme of generosity and responsiveness as she serves children with language and learning disabilities through volunteer efforts with Barnes and Noble, The Ronald McDonald House and various organizations throughout Central Texas. Haley creates lesson plans that incorporate music into education with the goal of teaching children lessons in gratitude, kindness and acceptance.

Haley’s passion, heart and dedication to making the world a kinder place make her a wonderful example of generosity and responsiveness.

“I Like Myself”
Haley’s music encourages students to think about the unique ways they shine. “I Like Myself” is an original song that encourages students to take turns voicing what they like about themselves.

“Be You”
Be you. You’re perfect just the way you are. Be you. What matters is inside the heart. The message of this song perfectly echoes TKC’s motto, “I Am Enough!”

Haley creates lesson plans that incorporate music into education with the goal of teaching children lessons in gratitude, kindness and acceptance.
